3 men charged after serious assaults at Alberta house party

Three men have been charged with aggravated assault after two men were injured – one critically – at a house party near Okotoks, Alta.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of an incident at a house west of De Winton along Highway 552 (274 Avenue) at around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

RCMP said two men were found injured.

One of them was flown by STARS Air Ambulance to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition. The other was taken by ambulance to hospital with serious lacerations.

Three people were taken into custody, including one of the men transported to hospital.

As of Tuesday, RCMP said the one man was still in critical condition while the other was in serious but stable condition.

No details have been released about the people involved or what led to the incident.

The names of the three men charged have not been released.

RCMP continue to investigate and said the incident “has evolved into a complex investigation and all factors are being considered.”
