Police identify fatal shooting victim as 61-year-old Toronto woman

Toronto police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Riverdale Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Don Mount Court and Kintyre Avenue, south-west of Broadview Avenue and Dundas Street East, just before 6:15 p.m. Saturday with reports of the sound of gunshots.

Police arrived and found 61-year-old Peggy Ann Smith in the alley behind a townhouse on Munro Street. Smith died at the scene.

Investigators are looking to identify two men who were seen leaving the area heading north toward Dundas Street East.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
