A public works official in Prince Albert, Sask., suspects someone may have vandalized a temporary rubber pipeline that’s bringing water into the city during the cleanup of the North Saskatchewan River.
The line is carrying water from the South Saskatchewan River while crews collect oil in the North Saskatchewan that flowed downstream from last month’s Husky Energy pipeline leak near Maidstone.

Alain Trudel said the city was alerted to two separate leaks on Thursday that appear to be the result of cuts made with a sharp-edged instrument.
The holes have been clamped but Trudel said the city and police can’t monitor the entire length of the pipeline, which stretches for 30 kilometres.
