Two Alberta men are facing drug charges after a Saskatchewan traffic stop.

Mounties pulled an eastbound vehicle over on Aug. 21 near Unity, Sask. after the driver was caught speeding on Highway 14.

He was arrested for impaired driving.

A search of the vehicle turned up what police call a “quantity” of marijuana and several oxycodone tablets.

The two men from Eckville, Alta., 51 and 53, have been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

They have been released from custody and are scheduled to make their first court appearance on Oct. 17 in Unity.
