Canadian chanteuse Celine Dion is putting together a new music album, paying tribute to her late husband, René Angélil.

Angélil, who was also Dion’s longtime manager, died Jan. 14 of throat cancer in Las Vegas at the age of 73.

Dion’s new album, titled Another Evening (Encore Un Soir), will not be a sad album, she insists. Fifteen songwriters worked with Dion on the new music, and she asked each of them to “sing her life.”

“It was difficult, at first, for me to go into the studio and touch [those] sensitive passages,” she said at a concert in July.

The “sensitive passages” she refers to are the songs that touch on her mourning of Angélil, and the lyrics are reflective of that.

One song, titled If It Again, is a tale about her relationship with him.

“If it again/I would pass by you/if it again/you spend there/on our roads yesterday/who else better than you?”

Another song, titled On the Highest Branch, is even more clearly about Angélil:

“There will be of course a malaise/as a brief hesitation/when placing the chairs for the meal/you will live in our silences, random conversations.”

Other song titles include To YouI Want Us and My Strength. The title track, Encore Un Soir, is titled in French as a tribute to Angélil as well.

“René always insisted the show must go on,” she said to People magazine. “You know what, I’m 48 years old and I lost the love of my life. I miss him a lot from when he was great, but not when he was suffering. I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go. I feel at peace.”

Angélil was Dion’s manager, mentor and singing coach since she was a teenager. The couple had three children together — René-Charles, 14, and five-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

Dion’s ongoing concert residency in Las Vegas is set to run until 2019.

Another Evening (Encore Un Soir) in the French language will be available on Aug. 26. The English version doesn’t come out until later in 2017.

Dion’s last album was 2012’s No Wait.
