Five-year-old golden retriever Jett, from Saskatoon, is gaining attention after a video of her in the passenger seat of a drifting car on a racetrack was posted online Monday.
In fewer than 24 hours, the video amassed more than 5,000 Facebook shares and over 250,000 views on the social network. It was shot at an Edmonton racetrack by Lethbridge-based production company Always DTF.

“I didn’t ever think just having a dog and doing the stuff I love with a dog would blow up like that and kind of go viral,” Klein said.
Before drifting, Klein places Jett in a modified five-point race harness, a hip restraint and a padded seat.
“Obviously her safety is a big concern as it would be for any passengers in my car,” Klein said.
She met Klein four-and-a-half years ago, when he said Jett’s previous owners decided they didn’t have enough time for a dog.
“I thought it would be too good to be true – like what’s wrong with this dog? Who’s getting rid of this dog?” he said.

Now she follows him wherever he goes, including wherever the next adventure takes them.
“If we can work on some more stuff in future, we’ll do it. But for now, we’ll just keep going in car rides and doing what we love.”
Jett the Drift Dog also has a growing following on Instagram.
