Northeast Edmonton shooting sends man to hospital

A young man was sent to hospital Friday evening after a shooting in northeast Edmonton.

The incident happened in the area of 128 Avenue and 52 Street.

When police arrived on scene they found a man in his 20s suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by EMS.

Police were looking for suspects Friday night, canvassing nearby businesses in hopes of finding surveillance footage of the incident.

Officers said they do not believe the public is in any danger.
