The Regina Police Service (RPS) arrested and charged six people Tuesday night following an investigation into drug trafficking.

According to police, officers stopped a vehicle around 10 p.m. outside a hotel on the 1900 block of Rupert Street. They arrested two 18-year-old men, Mohamed Aden and Anas Ali Ahmed, for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Police said Ahmed originally provided a false name and was further charged with obstruction.

Regina police then obtained a search warrant and found four individuals, three men and a woman, with a significant amount of currency and cocaine inside a hotel room.

Mohamed Hassan 29, from Edmonton, Chantel Hubick 39, from Saskatoon, Anas Ahmed, from Regina, as well as Yusuf Yusuf, 23, Makador Mohamed 22, Mohamed Aden, 18, all from Toronto, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

All six appeared in court in Regina Thursday afternoon.
