Motorcycle driver dies of injuries after collision north of Regina

A 34-year-old man is dead after a car and motorcycle collided just north of Regina on Highway 6 by Industrial Drive on Tuesday morning.

At approximately 8:04 a.m. CT, White Butte RCMP were called to a collision between a red Pontiac car and a motorcycle in the southbound lanes of Highway 6.

According to police, the Pontiac was going northbound on Highway 6 and made a left turn across the highway to get on Industrial Drive. Police say the motorcycle was travelling south when it collided with the car.

Police said the 34-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene due his injuries. His name has not been released.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, was not injured.

White Butte RCMP, a RCMP collision reconstructionist and EMS were on scene earlier, and Highway 6 southbound at Industrial Drive was closed. The highway is now open.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact White Butte RCMP at 306-781-5050.
