RCMP seek witnesses to serious head-on collision west of Edmonton

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision west of Edmonton early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the crash on Highway 16 near Century Road, north of Spruce Grove, at around 3:20 a.m. Saturday.

Officers said a Chevrolet Blazer was heading east in the westbound lane when it collided head on with a semi-truck. The 25-year-old driving the Blazer was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance with significant injuries.

RCMP want to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Stony Plain/Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP at 780-968-7267 or 780-962-2222. Anonymous information can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
