The convoy of the Iraqi Defence Minister Khaled al-Obeidi came under attack by Islamic State (IS) group fighters south of Mosul on Monday, according to Iraqi officials.
A member of Al-Obeidi’s staff filmed the attack from inside his armoured truck.
The video was first posted on Al-Obeidi’s Facebook page and later released to the media by the Iraqi ministry of defence.
The video shows the convoy driving down a dusty road with the sound of gunfire and shouting in the background.

At one point, the machine gunner inside the minister’s vehicle runs out of ammunition and changes the ammunition box, then continues firing.
The minister’s convoy had been on its way to visit troops at Qayyarah airbase and made it to its destination without any casualties.
The Iraqi Army has established a strong foothold south of Mosul in recent weeks, but IS group fighters are still able to mount attacks on them.
