Male pedestrian identified in fatal hit-and-run in Vaughan

Police are investigating after a 35-year-old man was killed as a result of a hit-and-run in Vaughan late Monday evening.

Officers were called to the scene of Highway 7 and Keele St. around 11:30 p.m. when they located a male with obvious head trauma.

Despite efforts to save his life, the male, identified as Adam Colucci of Woodbridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No vehicle description has been released.

York police said security video from the Pinecrest Motel shows the man leaving the area around 11:25 p.m. when he was hit.

They say an autopsy completed on Tuesday indicated he died of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision.

Police are urging witnesses or anyone with video to come forward.
