Police in Seattle are investigating after a threatening and racist letter that was left outside of the home of a mixed-race family.
Police were called to the home Tuesday night after Stephanie Endres said she found the letter that was riddled with the N-word and made reference to the Black Lives Matter movement.
“I am sick and tired of this bullshit. U need 2 get your n—-r loving ass out here, and all these Black Lives Matter bullshit,” reads the letter, according to Seattle’s KOMO News. “You f—ing around and tearing up our race having all these n—-r babies. F—ing n—-r lover!”
Endres told KOMO News that in the 27 years she has lived in the home she and her family “never had issues.”
“I’ve never had anyone treat my kids differently for being mixed, so it was really out of nowhere,” the mother of two mixed-race children told the news station.
In a statement, police said officers collected the letter and evidence and are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
“U and all these n—-rs need to leave this country that’s ours! One day your kids will get what they deserve being on this land. F—ing n—-r lovers!” reads the letter. “White lives matter f—ing n—-r lovers!
The letter ends with “Go Trump!!!”
Endres reposted the letter on Facebook Thursday night saying she won’t let hate affect the family.
“Although this has been quite terrifying for my family with the saftey (sic) of my children being threatened, I will not let this affect us anymore,” the mother wrote. “The amount of support we have received from family, friends, neighbors, and complete strangers is absolutely overwhelming.”
No arrests have been made.
