Skylar Blue Alexson appeared in court Tuesday morning facing a charge of second degree murder. That charge was stayed as Crown and defence attorneys agreed to a lesser charge of manslaughter. Both the Crown and defence had requested a sentence of nine years.
Harden was found seriously injured on the 700 block of Garnet Street on February 20th. He was pronounced dead later in hospital.
Three youths — a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old — were also charged with second degree murder in relation to the homicide.
