A 69-year-old male resident of Kawacatoose First Nation has died in a Regina hospital.
According to Punnichy RCMP, the man was outside a residence on the Kawacatoose First Nation on Thursday morning. RCMP said he was in medical distress.
The man was then transported by ambulance to hospital in Wynyard, and later flown to Regina by STARS air ambulance.
Punnichy RCMP are working with major crimes unit south, Yorkton forensic identification section and the office of the chief coroner to determine if the sudden death is suspicious.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday in Regina.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, and is ongoing.
Kawacatoose First Nation is located approximately 25 kilometres northeast of Raymore, Sask.
