RCMP searching for vehicle after Sask. man found dead east of Meadow Lake

Saskatchewan RCMP say a 24-year-old man, who was allegedly struck by a vehicle near Meadow Lake, has died.

Just before 5 a.m. CT on Saturday, officers were called to a pedestrian on the Matchee-Neeb Road, around 20 kilometres east of Meadow Lake.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released by police but they say he is from the Flying Dust First Nation.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place next week.

No vehicle remained at the scene.

Members of forensic identification, collision reconstruction and the major crime unit are assisting with the investigation.
