Crews were called to a fire at a large woodworking shop in southwest Calgary Friday evening.

According to the Calgary Fire Department, nobody was hurt in the blaze at 13 Avenue and 85 Street S.W.
Flames could be seen shooting out of the structure as firefighters fought to put them out.
Fire officials said the cause of the fire remained under investigation and it was too early to determine the full extent of the damage.

Police rerouted traffic in the area for about two hours.

They cordoned off several blocks of the residential neighbourhood because fire crews had to lay down long fire hose lines to reach the blaze.
