Store staff locked the front doors before the men were able to leave, sparking an argument.

According to investigators, the argument became physical, with one of the suspects throwing a bottle at a staff member – and another staff member hitting a suspect on the head with a bat.

“At some point during the altercation, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired a shot at one of the clerks, striking him in the arm,” police said in a Wednesday news release. “He then fired several more shots at the door to get out of the store.”

The injured clerk was transported to hospital for treatment and later released.
