12-year-old rolls ATV in southern Alberta, injures 2 others

RCMP said charges aren’t expected in a rollover west of Calgary on Thursday that injured a nine-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman.

According to investigations, a 12-year-old boy from Calgary was driving a side-by-side off-road vehicle in the McLean Creek campground when it rolled.

A nine-year-old boy from Calgary was injured, suffering broken bones.

A 26-year-old Calgary woman also suffered broken bones. She was air-lifted to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to RCMP, the 12-year-old was injured.

It’s unknown If the victims were wearing helmets.

Mclean Creek is located about 60 kilometres west of Calgary.
