WATCH: Sound tech turns star of show at French music festival

A roadie became a rock star at a music festival in France when a mischievous crowd decided to play a game of Simon Says.

Nico Terrien, a sound technician for French electro group Deluxe, was giving hand signals ahead of the band’s performance at the Garorock Festival in Marmande, France when some in the crowd began to mimic him.

Thousands of others soon joined in and rather than shy away from the attention, Terrien jumped up onto a platform and began to direct the crowd.

The festival took place went from June 30 until July 3rd as Deluxe hit the stage on July 2.

The band posted the video onto its Facebook page the following day which has now been watched over 1.3 million times as of Sunday afternoon.

Deluxe wrote underneath,” When the crowd is getting crazy during the lightcheck, big up to our technicien Nico Terrien, a star is born.”

The amazing footage shows thousands of fans following Terrien’s movements in unison to his delight.
