Man dies after falling from scaffolding on Fifeshire Road in Toronto

TORONTO – A man in his 30’s died on Tuesday morning after an industrial accident in the north end of Toronto.

The incident happened just after 9 a.m. as the man reportedly fell from scaffolding while he was working at a house on Fifeshire Road in the Bayview and Highway 401 area.

Emergency services responded to the scene, where the victim was located with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to Sunnybrook hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Colleagues of the victim tell Global News that he was doing stone work on the roof of the house before falling.

The victim had a wife and three children, according to colleagues.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
