A Saskatoon teen has been charged after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing an intersection on his bicycle.

Police say the 15-year-old boy was riding his bike eastbound on the sidewalk along Diefenbaker Drive just before 6 p.m. CT on Thursday.

As he went to cross the road at Laurier Drive, he was struck by a vehicle making a left turn from Laurier to Diefenbaker.

The teen was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have charged him with riding a bike on the sidewalk.
