Cocaine, marijuana valued at $75K seized in Prince Albert, Sask. drug bust

Prince Albert police say they have seized drugs with an estimated street value of $75,000 following a bust in the northern Saskatchewan city.

The bust happened on Tuesday afternoon at a home in the Riverview area.

Members of the integrated street enforcement team seized 566 grams of cocaine, 2151 grams of marijuana and 9.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, along with drug paraphernalia related to drug trafficking.

A 33-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested.

Both Prince Albert residents are facing a number of charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the possession of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

Both will make their first court appearance on July 12 in Prince Albert provincial court.
