Detectives are trying to determine if a carjacking and attempted carjacking that happened Tuesday evening in Saskatoon are related.
Both happened on 22nd Street West less than three hours apart.

The carjacking happened at around 8:45 p.m. CT when two men, one armed with a knife, approached a vehicle in the 1900-block of 22nd Street West.
The people inside the vehicle were told to get out.
One man then took off in the vehicle while the other fled on foot.
Both men are described as indigenous.
The first is in his mid-20s, wearing a black hat, white tank top, and khaki pants and had a red bandana covering his face.
The second was older with some facial hair. He has tattoos on his arms and was wearing a black tank top, hat and khaki pants.
The stolen vehicle has been recovered.

Then just after 11 p.m., there was an attempted carjacking at a fast food restaurant in the 2200-block of 22nd Street.
A man armed with a knife approached a vehicle and demand those inside to get out. The driver was able to drive away.
The man is described as indigenous, in his late teens, around six-foot with a slim build. He was wearing a red hat with white letters, red shirt and shorts and had a red bandana covering his face.
A police dog was called in, but was unsuccessful in tracking down the teen.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
