KELOWNA – A Kelowna cyclist may have survived the crash had he been wearing a helmet.
That’s the finding of a coroner’s investigation into the incident on September 25th that claimed the life of 62-year-old Imre Nagy.

He was riding his bike on Belgo Road and was hit by a car after blowing through a stop sign at Springfield Road.
Nagy was thrown about 16 metres and died of head injuries in hospital the following day.
The coroner says not wearing a helmet was a contributing factor but alcohol, drugs and speed were not.
The death was ruled accidental and no recommendations were made.
