A 47-year-old man was charged after police seized more than $900,000 in drugs, the largest meth seizure in Edmonton police history.

The Drug and Gang Enforcement Unit was in the middle of a drug trafficking investigation and pulled over a vehicle on June 22 due to “drug-related activity.”

Police say they seized four kilograms of cocaine from the vehicle.

Then, officers got a search warrant and searched a home in the area of 91 Avenue and 205 where they say they found three more kilograms of cocaine and more than nine kilograms of meth.

EPS said the cocaine has a street value of $525,000 and the meth has a street value of $384,000.

Hoa Tran was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was remanded and scheduled to appear in court on June 30.
