A Saskatchewan teen is facing numerous charges for abduction, theft and hit and run after a crime-filled Saturday.

On Saturday June 25, police were told about a vehicle in Regina that was stolen from Wadena, Sask. Police say the vehicle had three people in it and they abducted a female youth while at Mount Pleasant Park. According to police, the female was known to the driver.

The vehicle was then was involved in a hit-and-run with a pedestrian who tried to stop the abduction from happening.

According to police, the vehicle was found later at 8:20 p.m. in another hit-and-run incident on 13th Avenue and Wallace Street. The occupant fled the vehicle.

Police were able to arrest and charge a 16-year-old teen and a 13-year-old teen nearby on the 2200 block of Winnipeg Street.

The 16-year-old youth is facing a total of five charges including abduction of a person under the age of 14, assault with a weapon and fail to stop at the scene of an accident.

The 13-year-old girl is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both teens appeared in court on Monday morning.
