Saskatoon Valkyries defeat Edmonton Storm 81-6 to reclaim WWCFL title

The Saskatoon Valkyries are once again champions of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League (WWCFL), downing the Edmonton Storm 81-6 on Saturday in Lethbridge.

It is Saskatoon’s fifth WWCFL title in six years.

The teams faced each other once in pre-season play this season, with the Valkyries coming out on top.

The Storm defeated the Lethbridge Steel in the Western Conference Final 14-4 to book their ticket to the championship while Saskatoon took down the defending WWCFL champions, the Regina Riot, last weekend in the Prairie Conference Final.
