Police had to Taser a man who was running around a Saskatoon neighbourhood with a knife.
Patrol officers were called out to the area of Clarence Avenue and Ruth Street at around 5:45 a.m. CT on Friday for a report of a man with a knife.

The man was found in the 1200-block of Wilson Crescent.
Police say he refused to drop the knife when ordered to do so by the officers and then became assaultive when he approached them.
At that point a Taser was successfully deployed.
The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

He is facing a number of weapon charges including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, along with a possession of cocaine charge.
Saskatoon Police Service will be reviewing the use of the Taser in accordance with policy.
