MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — A Toronto-area man is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted two people while practising as a self-declared faith healer over the last eight years.
Police say a man who described himself as a Sufi religious healer committed sexual offences against a 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman during that time.

They say the suspect has operated as a religious healer in the region for several years and primarily targets adherents of Sufism.
Syed Ahmed Amir Khan, also known as Sayyid Ahmed Amiruddin, of Mississauga, Ont., is charged with two counts each of sexual assault, extortion and non-consensual distribution of intimate images and one count of sexual exploitation.
He was arrested June 17 and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
