A 28-year-old Toronto man has been arrested in connection to an alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at the Fairview Mall library this week.
Police said the incident happened at 3:06 p.m. on Monday when a man approached the girl while she was studying.
He then sat next to her, engaged in an inappropriate conversation and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The girl was then allegedly followed by the man as she got up and left and police said she eventually returned to the library and contacted authorities.
Darren Michael Slosel was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count each of sexual assault, sexual interference and criminal harassment.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Police said they are worried there may be more alleged victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
