Edmonton’s hungriest festival goers have waited with growling tummies for this year’s Taste of Edmonton lineup.
The 2016 instalment includes 79 new menu items, 16 new restaurants and food trucks, and a new Taste 4 Kids programs.
Some of the new culinary offerings include Mac & Cheese Balls (The Underground Tap & Grill), Cha Siu Bao (Hong Kong Bakery), Cheesecake on a Stick (The Cheesecake Cafe), Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse) and “PFC” Padmanadi Fried Chicken (Padmanadi Vegetarian Restaurant).
“Taste has been growing and adapting to the rapid changes in the community as it evolves,” Paul Lucas, Events Edmonton’s general manager said. “We’re so happy to have so many new vendors, charities, and events showcasing the amazing local talent that we have here in Edmonton!”

The free Taste 4 Kids programming includes activities like Glow Yoga Kids’ Yoga, ‘NSTEP (Nutrition, Students, Teachers Exercising with Parents), Story time with EPL, and Prairie Urban Farming.
The 10-day outdoor food festival was started in 1984.
This year, Taste of Edmonton takes place in Churchill Square from July 21 to 30.
