Police say a body was found in a burnt-out car on a Saskatchewan highway near North Battleford, Sask.
Mounties were called out to a report of a vehicle fire on Friday at 1:11 p.m. CT on Highway 4 between North Battleford and the Mosquito First Nation.

Officers arrived to find a car engulfed in flames.
Human remains were found in the back seat of the blue four-door 2006 Hyundai Elantra once the fire was put out by fire crews.
Although the human remains have not been identified, police believe it to be those of a man.
An autopsy is tentatively scheduled to take place on Wednesday in Saskatoon.
The police investigation has found that there were five other people in the car before the fire.

Police have spoken with the five individuals and investigators have determined that they left the car and were given a ride to the Mosquito First Nation by two Good Samaritans.
Mounties would now like to speak with those two people. They are also looking to speak with anyone else who may have seen the car or had any contact with any or all of the five people in the car prior to or during the fire.
