Winnipeg police say bike stolen by man armed with hatchet

A Winnipeg man riding his bike to work Friday morning was allegedly attacked by another man armed with a hatchet.

According to police the suspect forced the rider to stop and then tried to steal his bike.  The suspect then allegedly pulled out a hatchet and struck the victim, 42-years-old,  several times.

Once he got the bike, police say the suspect fled the scene, but have since arrested and charged Cane Ashley Moar, 19,  with robbery.
