WINNIPEG — If you’re a cat fanatic and love coffee, there’s a purr-fect cafe about to open in Winnipeg.

Miss J.La’s Fur Babies Cat Cafe, which is also an adoption centre, will open its doors to the public in early July on Kingsbury Avenue.

On the company’s Facebook page, the owner wrote the cafe is “a place to relax and spend time with cats”, while sipping on coffee and eating snacks.

Cat cafes are relatively common in Asia and other parts of the world, but it’s gaining more popularity across Canada. Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver all have coffee shops dedicated to our feline friends. In January, Vancouver’s first ever cat cafe – the Catfe – had to temporarily close because it ran out of cats to adopt.
