Home invasion in Hampton Village neighbourhood not random: Saskatoon police

A home invasion involving three suspects in Saskatoon’s Hampton Village neighbourhood sent a 37-year-old man to hospital on Tuesday. Investigators do not believe the crime was random.

It was reported that at around 9:30 a.m. CT, a resident of a home in the 1300-block of Korol Green was assaulted by two men who forced their way inside.

The suspects were described as wearing dust or paint masks and reflective vests.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in a truck with a third man. The vehicle is described as a red half-ton.

A friend took the 37-year-old victim to hospital where he is receiving treatment for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the police targeted enforcement section are investigating.
