UPDATE: Charge laid in 2016 fatal motorcycle crash in Saskatoon

A 28-year-old woman injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle has died.

The crash happened at the intersection of 8th Street and Grosvenor Avenue during the evening of June 5.

Saskatoon police investigators said a man and a woman were riding an eastbound motorcycle on 8th Street and hit the side of a car which was turning left onto Grosvenor.

The two motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police said the woman died in hospital. Her name will not been released at the request of family.

The driver of the car was not injured.

On Monday, police said charges may be pending and the collision analyst unit is still investigating.

This is the third fatal collision in Saskatoon this year.
