MONTREAL – Another candidate is joining the race to succeed Pierre Karl Péladeau as leader of the Parti Québécois (PQ).

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon is the fifth contender for the sovereigntist party’s top job.

The 39-year-old lawyer and political essayist has never held a seat in the provincial legislature.
