E-Comm says it received more than 500 calls in the two-hour span on Tuesday night, which is a significant jump from the normal 260.

Many people thought they were calling family and friends, but instead were somehow directed to 9-1-1 dispatchers.

Rogers is blaming the glitch on an outside vendor who was updating a piece of equipment at the time.
