The Calgary Police Foundation is encouraging citizens to purchase new limited-edition aviator sunglasses sold in a new campaign called Get Framed for Kids.

Proceeds from the sale of the sunglasses go directly to funding the organization’s youth programs.

“These programs target crime prevention, education, and early intervention with the primary goals of keeping kids safe and preventing crime,” police said in a news release.

The sunglasses cost $25 and will be available at Calgary and Airdrie London Drugs locations, Shaw retail outlets and online at getframedforkids.ca starting June 1.

A social media contest using the hashtag #getframed invites those who purchased the shades to submit photos wearing them for a chance to win a birthday party for up to 20 guests at the YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre.
