A woman has been charged after a video of an alleged assault was posted on social media. The assault happened early Saturday morning at a home in North Battleford, Sask.

According to police, the video shows a woman punching, kneeing and kicking another woman numerous times in the head and face. Mounties say the attack appears to be unprovoked.

Police have talked to the victim, who suffered minor injuries to her face and head.

A 24-year-old woman has been charged with assault. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford provincial court on June 27.

A warrant has been issued for a second woman. Danielle Wuttunee, 19, who is from North Battleford is facing an assault charge.
