Charges laid after North Central assault

REGINA – One man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted another man in North Central Regina on Wednesday night.

Police were called to the 100 block of Garnet Street at approximately 11:54 p.m., where it is alleged that a 29-year-old man assaulted a 31-year-old man with a weapon.

The victim managed to leave the location on Rae Street and travelled to Garnet Street where the police were called.

The injured man was brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Twenty-nine-year-old Nolan Reece Nordquist of Regina is facing several charges including aggravated assault.

Nordquist made his first court appearance on Thursday morning.
