Edmonton police have laid dozens of charges against a 39-year-old man and say he’ll likely face more in connection with dozens of break and enters in and around Alberta’s capital.
Police said the arrest followed a month-long investigation into over 30 commercial break and enters at businesses ranging from hair salons, restaurants, dry cleaners and convenience stores.

In each incident, police said the suspect seems to have broken in through a main door, robbed the business, and then broke through the walls to get into neighbouring businesses.
Detectives with the Edmonton Police Service noticed a similarity between break-ins in southeast Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Stony Plain and in Mayerthorpe.
On Wednesday, Daryl Saunter was charged with a total of 26 break and enter-related charges for the Edmonton incidents.
Police said additional charges are pending from the RCMP in connection with incidents that occurred in Sherwood Park, Stony Plain and Mayerthorpe.
