West Kelowna Warriors fall to one-and-one at the RBC Cup – May 16, 2016

LLOYDMINSTER – The best from B.C. fell to the Alberta champions in preliminary round action Sunday evening at the RBC Cup national Junior ‘A’ hockey championships.

The West Kelowna Warriors got thumped by the Brooks Bandits, coming out on the short end of a 5-1 score.

Vernon minor hockey product, Logan Mick, lead the way for the Bandits with two goals and an assist and was named Sunday’s Star of the Day at the tournament.

Quin Foreman got the lone marker for the Warriors who went 0-3 on the power play.

Brooks was 2-5 with the man advantage.

The Alberta team out shot their B.C. opponent 46-37.

The Warriors now have one win and one loss at the tournament.

Their next game is Tuesday afternoon against the Trenton Golden Hawks from Ontario who have two wins against no losses.
