41 car windows busted by pellet gun in North Vancouver over weekend

North Vancouver RCMP are investigating an extensive string of vandalism over the weekend where 41 car windows were shot out by what is believed to be a pellet gun.

The incidents allegedly took place over two nights on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15 between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. in the area of Grand Boulevard and Lynn Valley.

Police received multiple reports of broken car windows in residential areas that appear to have been shot at by a pellet gun over the weekend. Authorities estimate the window replacements will cost more than $30,000.

Police are very concerned over the actions of those responsible for the willful damage caused to people’s personal property,” said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. “Fortunately, no one was injured in these criminal acts.
