KEREMEOS — One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Keremeos on Friday.
Police were called around 11:30 a.m. to Highway 3A near Sparks Drive.
Cst. Brad Caruso with Keremeos RCMP says a car was rear-ended by an SUV, adding speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
The driver of the car was transported to Penticton Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Cst. Caruso.
“The Keremeos Fire Department also attended to assist in the extrication, the door had to be cut off.”

Cst. Caruso says the driver of the SUV did not require transportation to hospital.
It is the second accident near that section of Highway 3A in the past 24 hours.

The highway was closed in both directions in Olalla on Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash where three people had to be taken to hospital, one of them is in critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed either accident is asked to contact Keremeos RCMP.
