Man killed in southern Alberta crash between car and grader

One man was killed in a collision south of Calgary on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 23 and 176 Street east, near High River, at around 8 a.m.

When they arrived, paramedics found a collision between a car and a grader.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the grader was uninjured.

It’s unknown what led to the collision, or if road conditions may have played a role.

High River is located about 70 kilometres south of Calgary.
