Feds make EI claims easier, faster for Fort McMurray fire evacuees

The federal government has put plans in place to speed up access to Employment Insurance for Fort McMurray fire evacuees.

Workers can apply online or in person, even without a Record of Employment.

The Service Canada Centre in Fort McMurray is closed due to the massive wildfire that has destroyed parts of the regional municipality and forced the evacuation of all residents.
