SWIFT CURRENT – Premier Brad Wall took time Monday to comment on a petition delivered to the legislature that calls for the removal of the prayer read during question period.
The same petition also calls on the premier to drop his annual Christmas message.

Wall firmly stated that his government will keep the Christian prayer as part of daily proceedings and that the request is not reflective of the majority of Saskatchewan residents.
“I don’t want to see the prayer change and I would work against seeing the prayer removed from the legislature,” he said.
“I think it is important and should continue.”
Wall also added that he would continue his annual Christmas message for as long as he is elected.
