Suspects sought in armed robbery of Red Deer Esso station

Anyone with information on an armed robbery at a Red Deer Esso located in the 4700 block of 32 Street is asked to call RCMP at 403-343-5575. Red Deer RCMP / Global News

RCMP in Red Deer are searching for suspects involved in an armed robbery at a gas station on Friday.

It happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. at the Esso location in the 4700 block of 32 Street.

Police said two men, one of whom had a knife, demanded money from the cashier before running off.

On Monday, officers released two photos of the suspects from the store’s CCTV surveillance footage.

Officers said both men had accents, were about 5’8” tall and in their early 20s. One was wearing a black Ecko brand zip-up hoodie and a white bandana over his face. The other wore a black zip-up hoodie with a logo on the side of the hood, and a white and black patterned bandana over his face

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575 or contact Crime Stoppers.
